Independent ARSF redesign prototype for review. Breed resources, rescue guidance, stories, and memorials are now gathered in one modern framework.

Always remembered

Babe

2004 - 2105

A life carried forward in memory.

2004 until 2015

Babe was rescued from Bishops Animal Shelter. We were her third adoptive parents! She was perfect for us! She was SO smart: I would just shake the car keys and she would be headed for the door. She chose (without prodding) to lay down as we prayed over our supper. She ate almost anything, including slurping spaghetti from a fork! She lived from 2004 until 2015, when she died of bloat. She made our house a home and was an intricate part of life here. Babe was truly special and greatly loved. It's because of her that we have now adopted another Akita from ARSF!

Their steps remain with us

Every remembered life has a place here.

For the Akitas whose full stories were never written down, ARSF still carries their names forward.
