A life carried forward in memory.

Bear Bear, you have benn the squeaky wheel since we met. From destroying the fence in the Shreveport boarding kennel, to chewing up the upholstery in the Pilots for Paws plane, before finally biting your mother in law on the ankle when she stepped on you...

And yet, you were kind. Loved Scarlett Rebecca's children, endured countless, endless groomings (woolies are a nightmare in rescue). For years, we've been friends...

Bear Bear went to the Bridge wrapped in love. I estimate his age at about 12.

Held close by ARSF

A heart appears beside the names of 77 Akitas for whom rescue became their final home.

They may not have reached a traditional adoptive family, but they were not without one. They were sheltered, cared for, and loved by the ARSF community through the end of their lives.

The heart honors that bond.
