A life carried forward in memory.

Keiko went to the Bridge today 9/15/2016, wrapped in love. She had bladder cancer, and was twelve years old. Keiko only spent her last couple of years here, having been returned at age ten after an altercation with a neighbor's dog. So, for the most part, her life was full and happy.

A heart appears beside the names of 77 Akitas for whom rescue became their final home.

They may not have reached a traditional adoptive family, but they were not without one. They were sheltered, cared for, and loved by the ARSF community through the end of their lives.

The heart honors that bond.
