Always remembered

Niko

2003 - 2015

A life carried forward in memory.

October 1, 2003 - June 21, 2015 From his family left behind

I adopted Niko from Florida Akita Rescue on November 28, 2010, he was 7 years old and only had one eye due to glaucoma surgery. He was sheltered at Mans Best Friend Kennel in Clearwater Florida when I adopted him. Poor Niko was waiting a whole year for his Forever Home until we met. He was the best behaved dog I could ever ask for, he always came when I called him and he followed me everywhere I went. Niko was so affectionate with everyone which is the reason I had him registered as a Therapy Dog with Project Pup, (Pets Uplifting People). I miss his companionship and love so much my heart aches. I pray to God he's happy and pain free now from his debilitating arthritis. Until we're together again Niko rest in peace.

Their steps remain with us

Every remembered life has a place here.

For the Akitas whose full stories were never written down, ARSF still carries their names forward.
