A life carried forward in memory.

Sassy became another victim to bloat early this morning 8/31/16. She was a tough old gal, and probably will do best with her own space at the Rainbow Bridge . I'm so sorry, Sass, that I was not able to change your life significantly. A real heartbreaker, this one.

A heart appears beside the names of 77 Akitas for whom rescue became their final home.

They may not have reached a traditional adoptive family, but they were not without one. They were sheltered, cared for, and loved by the ARSF community through the end of their lives.

The heart honors that bond.
